What age can the children begin dancing?

Our classes start from age three for ballet and age four for tap and modern.

Does The Weald School of Dance have a uniform?

Yes, we do. Please see our uniform page for more details. We also offer a selection of second-hand items that can be bought from us.

How much are the classes?

Class cost depends on the length of the lesson and the level. Please contact the school for full details. Fees are payable termly.

Is there the opportunity for the pupils to take exams?

Yes, we offer exams in ballet, tap and modern.

Do any of the students go on to a career in dance?

Yes, a number of our pupils have gone on to train at professional colleges and universities and have a successful dance career.

Can the parents watch classes?

We invite parents to watch the last lesson of every term with the exception of show term.

Do you do a show?

Yes. Every 18 months the school comes together and puts on a fully costumed, professionally teched performance. It is a highlight for both our students and their families.

What societies/syllabus do you follow?

We follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus for ballet and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) for tap and modern.

Are all the teachers qualified and DBS checked?

Yes.

Langley Village Hall and Sutton Valence Village Hall

Do you offer boys classes?

Boys are welcome to attend all our classes.
